I was born on May 10, 1985 in Madrid, and now I live in Santander with my wife and daughter.
I love digitalization because it empowers human beings.
It allows us, as people, to contribute the best of ourselves, leaving automatable tasks in the hands of intelligent systems that free us.
I currently enjoy working with the best high-performance team I have ever worked with, directing the technology (IT) area of Fonestar Sistemas.
Skills
Over the years I have been growing professionally, and of course I will continue to do so :)
These are the topics I master most currently:
Team management, leadership and talent development.
Requirements analysis, project control, strategy and planning.
Software and APIs, scalable design and system optimization.
"Agentic" paradigms, context management and applied knowledge for software development.
Python, PHP, JavaScript, C++, Clarify, WinDevβ¦
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Vue, Reactβ¦
MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Access, SQL Server.
Linux / Unix, server administration and production environments.
Unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
Azure, Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD.
Cloud solution implementation, container management and deployment automation.
In short... everything needed to design and deploy robust and innovative digital solutions :)
I started with a specific task: create a web platform so the team could edit product content. From there, my responsibility grew organically.
From scratch, I built the entire technological infrastructure: Linux server, intranet, web portal, PLM, and the necessary integrations to keep processes running smoothly. It was work that required learning on the fly, making important architectural decisions, and maintaining a long-term vision.
In 2018 came ERP Sage X3. I had to evaluate how to integrate such a complex system into the existing architecture, migrate data, design APIs that would connect different systems. Gradually, a team of skilled programmers joined who helped me delegate and scale.
Management gave me freedom to propose digital changes, and we've implemented apps for clients, internal tools for sales and departments, third-party system integrations. Now I lead the IT team, working on architecture, AI integrations, and constant infrastructure evolution.
CompuData Santander wanted to completely renew its technology. The project was called SOGEX, and they asked me to lead the R&D team to develop the foundations of a new management system.
We used WinDev, a 4th generation language that allowed building interfaces and modules quite quickly. The challenge was creating a solid and clear architecture, maintaining consistency while developing different modules in parallel. I managed users, priorities, error control, and access permissions.
It was an intense experience that allowed me to grow both in development and team management. And it was then that I had the opportunity to move to Cantabria, something I had always wanted to do.
Coritel was the main technology provider for ONO, leading development of the management system for Broadband in Spain. I worked primarily with Clarify, developing and improving modules using ClearBasic and Oracle, both in new features and maintenance and incident resolution.
After this stage, I had the opportunity to participate in a special 3-month project with Caritas (Accenture Foundation), where I designed and implemented a .NET Web Service that integrated the public website with internal management systems.
Finally, I worked maintaining and developing with Siebel for DIAGEO, which required great precision in administrative and integration processes.
In addition to enjoying my current job, I'm involved with several personal projects or for friends, among which these stand out:
A comprehensive web application to help with order management for ecological consumption groups, facilitating the organization and distribution of local and sustainable products.
An innovative algorithm designed to facilitate decision-making in communities and organizations through decentralized governance systems, promoting democratic participation and transparency in collective decision-making processes.
An editable website for the association of the same name, where I am an active member and volunteer, promoting ecological awareness and environmental activism.
A specialized online platform for controlling agricultural land measurements that allows importing and exploiting information efficiently.
Web platform with useful tools for ham radio operators: calculators, converters, reference tables and resources to facilitate the hobby of ham radio.
A web application to observe and manage your consumption habits, promoting financial awareness and responsible consumption.
I have always believed in the importance of cultivating balance between the two brain hemispheres: logic and creativity. Computing and project management constantly stimulate the analytical side, but for many years I have been passionate about enriching the creative and vital side with activities that bring perspective, joy and connection with others.
I enjoy my 400mΒ² vegetable garden, caring for the mycelium with permaculture and love for phytotherapy. I collaborate with EfectoecolΓ³gico and El Viejo Roble, promoting environmental and cultural projects.
Musician (guitar and more instruments) and craftsman: furniture, wooden figures, leather and lyres made with recycled strings. Designer of cooperative board games and homemade escape rooms.
Ham radio operator EA1JXE, with online radio tools. Constantly learning electronics and antenna manufacturing. Amateur astronomy enthusiast and defender of gamification as a learning method.
Kundalini yoga teacher and meditation practitioner. My family is always the most important thing. I actively participate in Waldorf Cantabria and other non-profit associations.
Over the years I have verified that all these passions have a direct impact on my professional life: they foster creativity, lateral thinking and the ability to find innovative solutions. In short, I like to transform each area into an opportunity for learning, play and growth β¨.
